1. W. R.2 WILLIAMS (DAVID1)1 was born 1843 in Lincoln County, Kentucky, and died Bef. 1880 in Lincoln County, Kentucky.  He married MARGARET SINGLETON2 Abt. 1869 in Kentucky, daughter of UNK and UNK. She was born Aft. March 14, 1846 in Kentucky, and died 1919.

Notes for W. R. WILLIAMS:

The birth date and approximate death of W.R. Williams is based on two census reports. Only one W.R. Williams was located in Lincoln County (Hustonville) and that was in the 1860 Census. He was 15 years old and lived about 18 miles from where 14 year old Margaret Singleton lived. I believe this to be our W.R. Williams. They probably met about 1868/69 and were married. W.R. Williams was not listed in the 1880 Census, however Margaret and children were listed. Later in another census report she is listed as a widow. I have been unable to find any marriage certificate or death certificate for W.R. or Margaret.

Notes for MARGARET SINGLETON:

1900 U.S. Census Lincoln County, Waynesburg, shows Margaret Williams, age 54, and Lawrence Williams age 5. Lawrence listed as her son. Margaret's husband is not listed. She is listed "head" of family. Margaret Williams married Jim Logan Camden in 1907. Jim Camden was born November 4, 1849. Note: Her 15 year old grandson Lawrence Williams was living with her and her husband Jim Camden in Waynesburg, Kentucky in 1910 per U.S. Census.

The June 22, 1880 Census for Lincoln County, 4th District, Roll 428, Book 1, Image 10 lists Margaret Williams as head of household. Listed with her are daughter Anney B. 10 yrs old, son John A. 6yrs old, son Mc Manira age 3. Also listed are her sisters (probably sisters-in-laws) Sarah J., and Savannah, (3) nieces and (1) nephew.
