Richard Delmon Maynard had a strong desire to learn more about his family history. There were no computers,
or online services to use at the time he was doing his genealogy research. He used an old typewriter to record the 22 pages of precious
information he was able to discover at court houses, churches, graveyards, family bibles, and family members. His love of genealogy

Maynard's
Grocery from 1943 to 1965. She was a member of the Rogers Park Missionary Baptist
Church for over 50 years. She was the granddaughter
of two pioneer families of the Big Creek area.
Her paternal grandparents were the late John stepp and Levica Parsley Stepp and her
maternal
grandparents were the late Orison Byrd Madison Lowe and Elizabeth Runyon Lowe.
